TAXES, DUTIES AND TARRIFS

As the trade landscape in the United States continues to evolve, we’re working on a new checkout option that will allow all US-based customers to prepay any applicable taxes and tariffs directly at the time of purchase. This upcoming feature is designed to simplify the process and help avoid unexpected delays or fees during delivery. We are doing this as an interim step rather than it being forced as we have started having issues where some customers are attempting to bypass their tax obligations.

Why This Matters

In international trade, the buyer (importer) is responsible for paying any import duties, tariffs, and local taxes imposed by their country. These charges are assessed by US Customs and Border Protection and are not included in our product prices unless specifically stated.

Failure to pay these fees can result in your shipment being held by customs, returned to sender, or in some cases, released with a debt assigned to the importer, which may be subject to credit collection.

By offering the option to prepay these charges at checkout, we aim to reduce shipping disruptions and give our US customers better visibility into their total landed costs.

Stay tuned for updates on when this feature goes live!
